Le Château Rouge, le Château Bambi or l’Hôtel Torrance (B)
The castle has many names among the urban explorers.This castle was built in the 17th century but caught fire very soon after construction. It was rebuilt by a rich family in 1889 in this typical renaissance style. Later it was used as a hotel, that went bankrupt in 2006.
The outside of the building is impressive. What obviously catches the eye is its red colour and the style of construction that gives it real character.
Besides the main building, you have a big garden with some side buildings left and right.
Nowadays the place is used by airsofters, they regulary do competitions. It’s a pity, ‘cause they are really ruining the place.
The entrance to the castle is easy, everything is open. The place is not dangerous and there are no neighbours looking whatsoever.
The inside of the castle is completely empty. If you have seen pictures of the furniture inside, this is not there anymore. Inside you even see more how the softairplayers ruin the place.
Outside to the right you find a swimmingpool. The sidebuildings don’t have much to offer, they are empty and reformed by the airsofters. (March 2017)
