TOUR DE LA FAMENNE (B)
Tour de la famenne was built in 1970 and opened it’s doors in 1973. It was/is the centerpiece of the Famenne region in the south of Belgium. The tower had a rotating restaurant where you could experience nice views while eating. At the bottom of the tower was a swimming pool with double toboggan, a bowling, a pond of fishing and a karting track. In the nineties the restaurant and the leisure park closed down and it hasn’t operated since then. In 2015 a Dutch business man bought the place and was going to restore it to its original condition, but also these works stopped… We weren’t able to go inside the tower when we were there… (March 2017)
